Welcome to Papa Turtle Tours! We’re excited to help you explore the stunning underwater world of Rarotonga. Here’s everything you need to know about finding us and making the most of your visit.

Where is Your Location?

We’re located in Vaimaanga Village on the south side of Rarotonga. If you’re familiar with the well-known supermarket, Wigmores, our site is just 1km anti-clockwise from there, on the beachside of the main road. You can easily find us on Google Maps under “PAPA TURTLE.”

Papa Turtle, the man who started it all, is well-known on Rarotonga for being the first person to offer turtle tours on the island.

Google Maps

To find us on Google Maps, simply search for “PAPA TURTLE” and you’ll see our exact location. We’re right next to YWAM (Youth With A Mission), which includes a grassy area and playground.

Parking

Parking is available next to YWAM on the Muri side of the main road. Please park your vehicle on the mountainside, then walk across the main road to the beach section directly opposite the parking. Walk less than one meter down the driveway and turn right into a vacant grassy section. We have seating and BBQ tables here for your convenience.

Transport

Getting to Papa Turtle Tours is easy! Here are a few options:

Bus

Our location is conveniently situated on the main road bus route. You can check the bus timetable online at Cook Islands Bus. The bus service is reliable and a great way to get around the island, there’s two CLOCKWISE and ANTI CLOCKWISE

PLEASE NOTE!! There are no bus stops around the majority of the island, you flag it down wherever you are.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can call Yellow Cab Taxi Nikao Heights at +682 78903 or +682 76480. They’ll drop you off right at our tour site. Your resort or hotel can also organize transfers for you if needed.

Transfers

If you need transfers, we might be able to accommodate you for $30 per person. Please get in touch with us to arrange this option.
